Sager Brown Depot is smack dab in the middle of Cajun Country in Baldwin, LA. It is one of two locations UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) has to collect, inspect, assemble and ship relief supplies around the world whenever a need arises. We have reserved 10 spots for our February Mission Trip but we need to let them know by October 15, 2019 how many will actually be attending. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are provided on the work days. Each work team is assigned a couple of meals to clean-up after. Accommodations include dormitory style rooms of two, four or eight. There is also RV hookup or private apartments (additional fee.) The grounds of the Depot are beautiful with trees and swings along Bayou Teche for you to enjoy the scenery. One afternoon during the week our team will take an afternoon off to visit local attractions and eat out for dinner. Your time at the Depot is very rewarding. You work with people from other teams and other parts of the country and you know what you are doing will affect and make a difference in the lives of someone across the country and possibly around the world. You may choose to volunteer in the community- you will have the opportunity to sign up for various volunteer opportunities. Room, board and food services are covered, but there will be a couple of meals on our own. The total cost for the trip not including the meals during travel and the dinner out one night while sightseeing is $230. We will be having a breakfast fundraiser and a lunch fundraiser to cover some of the cost. We ask that missionaries pay a minimum of $110 and we hope to fundraiser to cover the remaining balance.

I love going to Sager Brown! I like that I can be Jesus’ Hand and Feet even though I don’t have any special skills- I don’t sew and I can’t build things. But I made a difference….and it was FUN! See me to sign up!
